“A few minutes of Yoga during the day can be a great way to get rid of stress that accumulates daily, in both, body and the mind.”
Yoga postures, Pranayama and meditation are effective techniques to release stress. With this aim in mind, a virtual Yoga celebration was organized on 21st June to celebrate the International Yoga Day. The physical education and yoga instructors Dipak sir, Meena ma’am and Mahesh sir instructed and performed the asanas with students and teachers in school. The celebration began with the prayer and chanting of ‘Om’ followed with Padmasana, Bhujangasana , Shavasana and many more. Exercises for relieving stress, reducing joint pain and enhancing the flexibility of the back were also done for the benefit of teachers and students.
Students joined the celebration with their parents through the virtual platform and perform the asanas from their homes and forwarded the pictures performing the yogasanas on class whats app groups. The Principal, Mrs. Swati Kharde motivated the staff and students and conveyed the importance of making yoga an integral part of our daily life by extending the practice of yoga beyond the mat. The celebration concluded by vote of thanks by a student Ms. Siddhi Nirmal.
